Mary has been a nurse for 48 years, working in the traditional/western medical model as a staff nurse and in nurse leadership roles for 45 years. She spent half of that time working in Behavioral Health where she implemented Art Therapy, Music Therapy, QiGong, and group/peer support into the inpatient program. Mary has a Bachelors of Science in Nursing, a Masters in Administration, and a Masters in Business Administration. She graduated from Four Winds Healing the Light Body and Masters program in 2006. Mary also holds certifications in Healing Touch and Psychedelic education and Integration Coaching. Mary believes there is much more to health and wellness than what the traditional medical model offers. She has seen firsthand that treating just the symptoms is not the answer; we must go deeper into the cause of the symptoms. She uses a functional medicine approach to her own health and has experienced the difference this makes in one’s wellbeing. Mary believes in living your best life, which we are all worthy of and is attainable for everyone. She is an avid reader and lifelong learner, enjoys yoga, music, movies, walks in nature, and spending time with her grandson and her life partner.
