Maurice’s expertise wasn’t gained in a traditional classroom but through hands-on experience in a diverse array of professional kitchens. This practical approach allowed him to master a vast spectrum of equipment, food types, and dietary needs for every meal of the day, serving various groups and in different styles. He firmly believes in the culinary philosophy he was taught: that cooking is a skill that can be taken anywhere.

His professional path has been rich and varied, spanning from the dynamic food scene in Detroit to Arizona. Along the way, he gathered the skills and knowledge that led him to his current, cherished role. Maurice is now fortunate to be working for The Sanctuary, an environment he considers his favorite and where his passion for cooking continues to thrive.
